Our story

A vehicle for better bubbles

We didn't start as a drinks brand. We started behind the bar, pouring hundreds of glasses an hour in a field. Here's how two friends and a converted van ended up putting Italian fizz on tap across the UK.

Ten years of bubbles

2015

Two friends and a Piaggio Ape

Ben Broad and Joe Bruce import a tiny Italian Piaggio Ape van, convert it into a mobile bar and start pouring sparkling wine on tap at weddings and events.

Year one

100+ weddings

The little van is booked for more than a hundred weddings in its first year. Word spreads fast.

The fleet grows

A sidecar, then a second van

A converted 1969 motorbike and sidecar joins the line-up, then a second van, and the Bros start turning up in the national press, from Time Out to Refinery29.

The problem

The fizz wasn’t good enough

The format worked, but the keg sparkling wine available in the UK let it down. It couldn’t stand up to the events the Bros were being booked for, so they stopped looking for a supplier and went looking for a better wine.

The fix

Off to Italy

They came back from the Veneto with a frizzante: gently sparkling, softer than bottled Prosecco and built for draught rather than forced into it. That wine is still the business.

1,000+ events

Tried and tested

Hampton Court Palace, Covent Garden Piazza, Glastonbury, the BBC Good Food Show and more than a thousand public and private events, pouring hundreds of glasses an hour.
